The Village - Alternate Opening

This was created for a class project for MOME 709 Motion Media Cinematography and Editing at Savannah College of Art and Design with the brief to create a title sequence for a movie or television show of our choosing. With the knowledge of the movie and what kind of footage I would be able to capture in my surrounding area, I chose the movie "The Village" by M. Night Shyamalan. I wanted there to be an emphasis on the colors yellow and red when editing in post-production due to them being very important to the story of the movie. I captured footage at New Echota State Historic Site in Calhoun, Georgia, Chief Vann House in Chatsworth, Georgia, Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and my backyard. I have previously created a project based on this movie, but for this version, I wanted to try and create a more pastoral version to open the movie with to match its historical look using music from the movie’s soundtrack.

For a class project. I do not own the rights to this music.
